What ways can I get responses for my group assessment?

There are three assessment types available to you when wanting to ask people to take part and respond to an assessment.

Open group or selected group must have 3 respondents before any results will be made available on the Results page. (For an Individual, it accepts 1 response only.)

• Individual allows a user to complete an assessment or to ask 1 other person to complete the assessment. A user can choose to use Individual for a test. Two core reasons for using the Individual assessment type is to ask a respondent specifically about a change/person associated with a change, ensuring that you declare that you would see their responses (as they are just a single person responding). The second reason would be when the user already has enough information to assess something, so by selecting the appropriate tool you can then answer the questions to populate the response.
• Open allows full flexibility to allow anyone who has the assessment URL (copied from the collect responses page) to take part. This means even those that inadvertently receive a communication containing that assessment link can take part (and to avoid this would be a good reason to use the selected assessment type). Open assessment type provides for the possibility to get as wider population to respond.
• Selected allows a user full control of who can respond, because first the email addresses of those that can take part and respond to the assessment are entered first (also known as a closed group). So that means its restricted, even if someone else (that you did not list in advance) inadvertently is given the assessment URL, they won't be 'allowed' to take part as they're not on the list.
